Just within a walking distance are 2 museum visits. The National History Museum briefly introduces Mongolian history from early humans to the modern era. Choijin Lama Temple Museum was originally a religious complex consisting of six temples occupied by the state oracle at the time, Choijin Lama, who was the brother of the last king of Mongolia, Bogd Khan, who was head of state and religion. This complex was built from 1904 to 1908. Then attend a 6 p.m. show presenting traditional performances consisting of music, throat-singing, dancing, and contortion followed by a welcome dinner and tour briefing.

Day 2 Drive to Chinggis Khaan's statue and start cycling
Early morning, our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive 70 km east of Ulaanbaatar to a 40 m (130 ft) tall, stainless steel statue of Chinggis Khan on horseback. This is the world’s largest equestrian statue. Inside the statue complex, there is a small museum, souvenir shop, and a lift that brings you up to flights of stairs taking you on top of the horse’s head where you can get a panoramic view of the surrounding environment. While your visit, our guide will assemble the bikes. This cycling trip will have 3 stops. Before midday, there will be a short tea break, followed by lunch in the afternoon, and then continue pedalling for 3-4 hours until the campsite along The Tuul River. Today’s riding is easy ups and downs on hard-packed soil tracks.

Day 3 Cycling along The Tuul River
After breakfast, we will gently cycle along The Tuul River. Also known as Queen Tuul, she is a vital source of fresh water for millions of humans and animals. This 704 km (437 miles) long river originates in the Khan Khentii NP in the Khentii Mountains. From here, it travels southwest until it flows through the southern part of the capital city, making it the main river and freshwater source for the population of Ulaanbaatar. Today’s total cycling length is 44 km and there are a few water crossings. Towards the end, there is a gentle rocky ascend to reach the campsite nestled between trees.

Mongolia Biking is very professional and very well organised. I did 4 days of biking in the Terelj National Park pedaling through wide open rolling hill land and staying in Mongolian Ger tents at night. The land is beautiful with the horses, cattle, sheep & goats roaming freely. Dushka in the office was extremely professional, efficient and fast at putting the package together and fully informing me. Chuka my biking guide & bike buddy and Lhaggvaa the van driver were excellent in making sure the trip run smoothly. These two were fantastic to be out on the trail with.
I highly recommend Mongolia Biking.
