Day 1 Drive to equestrian statue of Chinggis Khaan and start cycling
In the morning, our guide and driver will pick you up from your location and drive about 70 km east of Ulaanbaatar to a 40 m (130 ft) tall, stainless-steel statue of Chinggis Khan on horseback, which is the world’s largest equestrian statue. Inside the statue complex, there is a small museum, souvenir shop, and a lift that takes you up to flights of stairs leading onto the top of the horse’s head where you can get a panoramic view of the surrounding nature. During your visit, our guide will assemble the bikes. Today we will cycle 45 km in total and pass two small hills at 1,754 and 1,888 m above sea level. The road condition is smooth hard soil. Today we will stay overnight at the Mongolian nomadic guest ger.

I showed up at Ulaanbaatar without pre arranged plans and they were able to put together a two day bike ride on very short notice. They put it together the afternoon before for an early start the next day. I do not recommend such short notice but I was impressed and thankful they could do it.
They were attentive and accommodating to my requests.
