A day cycling trip to Chinggis Khan statue

1 Mountain biking day tour near Ulaanbaatar

Early in the morning, our guide and driver will pick you up from your location in Ulaanbaatar and drive about 75 km east to the starting point of the cycling tour. Our guide will assemble the bikes so we can begin cycling. Although we are near the capital of Mongolia, you will have the chance to cycle up and down hilly steppe dirt roads through vast valleys that stretch beyond the horizon. Along the way, we will pass by animal herds and visit modern nomadic families, giving you a unique opportunity to experience their lifestyle. We will then stop for a short tea break before continuing to cycle until lunch at the 26 km mark. After lunch, we will gently cycle down through a valley with animal herds and Mongolian felt homes called gers. You may visit families to see how nomadic people live today. At the 52 km mark, our cycling trip will end at the world’s largest equestrian statue, a 40 m tall stainless-steel statue of Genghis Khan on horseback. Inside the statue complex, there is a small museum, a souvenir shop, and a lift that takes you up to the top of the horse’s head, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding grasslands. After the visit, we will drive to Ulaanbaatar.
