The Journey from Snow-Peaked Altai Mountains to the Gobi Desert 2026

From May 14 to June 2, 2026, Mongolia Biking Experts organized one of the most incredible expeditions across the majestic Altai Mountains and the vast Gobi Desert of Mongolia.

Our clients from the USA first skied through the snow-covered Altai Mountains in Western Mongolia, surrounded by breathtaking alpine landscapes and remote wilderness. After their mountain adventure, they continued their journey by cycling across the legendary Mongolian Gobi Desert, experiencing two completely different landscapes and weather conditions within a single expedition.

From icy mountain peaks to the dry and dramatic desert terrain, this unique adventure showcased the extraordinary diversity and beauty of Mongolia.

Incredible Cycling Adventure in Mongolia!

Cycling through the Mongolian countryside for five days was truly unforgettable! The landscapes were stunning and constantly changing—from wide open plains to rolling hills—and staying in traditional Ger camps made the experience feel so authentic.

Our support team was amazing. The old-school Russian UAZ vans added charm and reliability to the trip. Dashka handled the logistics and answered all our questions in perfect English. Guides Saina and Tino went above and beyond every single day to keep our group comfortable, safe, and happy.

We were impressed by the hot showers and flushing toilets at every ger camp—definitely a luxury in such remote areas! Riding alongside herds of horses, sheep, and goats each day felt surreal, and soaking in a hot spring after a tough ride was the perfect way to recover.

Mid-September was already getting a bit chilly, but it added to the atmosphere. Experiencing nomadic life in the countryside was eye-opening and such a refreshing contrast to city life.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique, active, and culturally rich adventure!
